Lacrosse, considered to be America's first sport, was born of the North American Indian, christened by the French, and adapted and raised by the Canadians.  Athletes and enthusiasts of the United States have embraced modern lacrosse for over a century.  The sport is a combination of basketball, soccer and hockey.  Anyone can play lacrosse!  The game requires and rewards coordination and agility, not brawn.  Quickness and speed are two highly prized qualities in lacrosse.

Our desire is that every member of the Lovejoy Leopard Lacrosse Club program emphasize, by action and by word, the virtues of team spirit, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.  All play and competition will be conducted on the highest level and develop a love for the sport and participation in all our players.  Members will not be discriminated against based on ones race, religion or gender.  All players are welcome regardless of skill or experience, if they are physically fit to meet the demands of the sport and meet the grade level requirement for the team.

Leopard Lacrosse currently has a Boys 5th/6th grade team, Boys 7th/8th grade team, and a High School team for the 2010-2011 season.

You can contact the youth team at youth@leopardlacrosse.net and the high school team at lhslacrosse@leopardlacrosse.net.

Games and practices for the youth program (5/6 and 7/8 grades) will be held at the Sloan Creek Middle School field located at 440 Country Club Road, Fairview, Texas.

Practice will run from Tuesday, September 7, 2010 through Thursday, November 18, 2010 for the Fall Season.  High School practices are TBA.
